AESTHETIC BREAST SURGERY

I provide aesthetic breast surgery procedures. In all cases, surgery is planned with emphasis on balance, proportion, and a natural result. Your desired result, lifestyle and other factors are taken into close consideration as I advise you. I always recommend that you attend at least two consultations before your operation, as it is of paramount importance that you are happy with your decision, and have had a chance to think it over and ask any questions that come to mind.

Understandably, many women undergoing breast surgery prefer a female surgeon, a fact that I wholly appreciate. You can be assured of a sympathetic viewpoint, but also of the fact that I have gained extensive experience in all aspects of cosmetic and reconstructive breast surgery throughout my training. Breast surgery has always been an area of interest to me, and I thoroughly enjoy the collaborative process my patient and I go through in order to end up with a result with which we are both happy.

Whether you are seeking an enlargement, reduction, uplift, or options to deal with previously inserted breast implants, I will listen carefully to your wishes and concerns, and formulate a treatment plan together with you. Both short and long-term satisfaction with your result is of great importance to me, and is an area I have an ongoing research interest. I have conducted research into long-term satisfaction rates following breast augmentation surgery, which I presented to the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons in 2013. I have also undertaken extensive research into the surgical outcomes of women who received PIP breast implants, presented to the European Society of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons in 2014: during the course of my fellowship training, I encountered many women who had previously received these implants, and gained extensive experience in revisional surgery (removal ± replacement of implants and related surgeries) in this patient group. I feel I am in an excellent position to offer advice to Irish women in this situation.
